Tell me what I just slammed into,
Because the eyes don’t see on their own anymore.
The purple haze blocking the light is my ritual sight.
By the way,
Visine only takes the red out,
Leaving mostly blue.

Star-Gazer
She commanded the playful, twinkling stars,
Controlled them,
Conducted their singing voices.
Like the stars,
I never realized how far distant she was.
I stand in stillness, waiting
For the unreachable, melancholy stars
To blink out
One by one.
Waiting for her
To fall.
